Recent internal data shows almost $2 billion in land and other rural acreage for sale in the Union State. This represents a total of 708,762 acres of land for sale in the state (accounting for about one percent of land in the state). The most expensive property listed for sale in Oregon on Lands of America recently was $55 million, while the average price of land and rural property for sale in Oregon was $1 million. There were 2,442 acres of sold land in Oregon recorded in October 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a 24 percent increase in sales activity over the previous month. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $12 million. Klamath County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. Oregon is one of the country's top ten biggest states in terms of size, covering an area of 98,386 square miles (63 million acres). Of its total landmass, 95,988 square miles (98 percent) is made up of land, while the remaining 2,391 square miles is made up of water.
